The temperature dropped to 29 degrees In Joplln, Missouri before dawn with frost reaching Into Arkansas. This was not likely to Improve since frost and freeze warnings were posted for most of the Ohio Valley Monday night Into Illinois and the western mountains of Virginia, and frost will reach into north Arkansas. The northeast picked up their share of cold weather with snow through the early afternoon along the Great Lakes and north portions of the Ohio Valley Into New England. Overnight snow falls of up to 4 Inches slowed traffic In Vermont mountains.

A lake shore warning remained along Lake Ontario. Gusty winds were keeping waves high which continue to flood lowlands and erode beaches. Snow continued over much of west Montana through portions of Idaho, Wyoming, Utah. Nevada and Colorado Monday afternoon. A heavy snow warning was posted over the mountains and foothills of Montana through today as well as the mountains of Colorado and over northeast Colorado monday night.
