We will be sending eligible customers their new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard on a rolling basis, so not all customers will receive their card at the same time. We recommend you keep your eye on the mail to ensure you receive all updates.

Once you have activated your new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard, feel free to log into your online account management platform or call the number on the back of your card to understand if you're eligible for other Capital One card products. Capital One regularly reviews customer eligibility for account offers.

About your Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard

Yes, your Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard will have a new card number, expiration date and security code.

Yes. After you activate your new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard, you'll need to update your accounts with the new card information. Once activated, your new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard can also be added to other digital wallets, including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay™.

After you receive your new Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard, if you're not already enrolled, please visit www.capitalone.com to manage your account online. If you are currently enrolled, you will see your new account when you log in using your existing credentials.

This Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard will not be reported as a new account and your account open date will appear as the same date currently reported for your Capital One Walmart Rewards Card or Walmart Rewards Card on your credit file. The information previously reported to the credit bureaus will be updated with the name "CAPITAL ONE" and the credit bureaus will continue to receive updates based on your ongoing account performance. Even though this is not a new account, if you currently use credit monitoring services, they may send you a new account alert due to the name change to CAPITAL ONE. Please know this is the same account information and open date.

Credit scores take into account a variety of factors, which can include the type of credit card account you have but many other factors as well, including your payment history, other credit accounts you may have, your outstanding balances versus total available credit, length of credit history, etc. Moreover, there are several different credit scoring models (such as FICO, VantageScore and others), and they each will evaluate your card and other factors differently, resulting in different impacts to your credit scores. To find out more about your credit score, you can contact any of the three major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian). Please note that Capital One will typically continue to send updates to the credit bureaus based on your ongoing account performance as we have done in the past.

Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard rewards and benefits

  • Starting on the effective date mentioned in your Walmart® Change Notice Letter, you'll earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on purchases everywhere you use your card, including all Walmart® locations.
  • Earnings will apply to net purchases (purchases minus any credits or returns) only.
  • You will earn 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel using this card account—all purchases made outside of Capital One Travel such as hotel incidentals, upgrades or other expenses, will not earn the enhanced earn rate, but will receive the standard 1.5% cash back earn rate.
  • Cash advances, balance transfers, and checks used to access your account are not considered purchases and will not earn rewards.

There are changes to rewards redemption, and the date of this change will be noted in your Walmart® Change Notice Letter:

  • You'll be able to redeem cash back for any amount.
  • You'll also be able to redeem rewards for gift cards, to get reimbursed for recent purchases and more.
  • You can get your cash back upon request in the form of a statement credit or a check.
  • You can also set up an automatic redemption preference; options include: (1) at a set time each calendar year or (2) when a specific threshold has been reached.
  • You'll no longer be able to redeem your rewards during checkout at Walmart.com as of the date stated in your Walmart® Change Notice Letter.
  • Rates for these redemption options may vary and can change in the sole discretion of Capital One.

You'll keep the full value of all the rewards you've already earned.

You will earn 1.5% cash back on purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted, but you'll no longer earn additional cash back at Walmart.com, Walmart® stores or Walmart® and Murphy USA fuel stations.

Your rewards don't expire as long as your account is open. But if your account is closed, you may lose any rewards you have not redeemed. Accounts that are not in good standing (e.g., suspended, restricted, delinquent, or otherwise in default) or closed may have different redemption options or may lose any unredeemed rewards, as permitted by applicable law and your Capital One Customer Agreement.

There is no cap to the amount of rewards you can earn on eligible purchases.

You may change your automatic redemption preference at any time, but you cannot request an annual redemption to be fulfilled in the same month you make a change. If you have an automatic redemption preference, you may also make upon-request redemptions without interfering with your pre-established automatic redemption preference.

As part of the move to the Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard, travel rewards will be available. Go online to travel.capitalone.com to book your flight, car rental or hotel, and use your cash back rewards to pay for your travel. If your travel transaction includes taxes, surcharges, and fees, these expenses will be included in the overall calculation to determine how many cash back rewards are required for redemption.

If you have a Capital One Walmart Rewards Card, you'll retain all of the great Mastercard benefits you enjoy today with the exception of cell phone coverage for those who might have had that benefit. If you have a Walmart Rewards Card, you'll now have access to Mastercard benefits. To review all of your benefits, visit www.priceless.com/capital-one.
